same with Ikea office chairs.. but in our office, even walking around some tables turns them off. Happens only with DisplayPort or USB-C>DP cables

It's static electricity. I use anti static mats and a grounding wire for discharging things with build up. I have cats and carpet. Take a look at your chairs wheels and consider replacing them.

Remove the dangling wires from the carpet. Something with the insulation on them is picking up the static charge and causing those static surges
