I explore topics and parts of a vision I am working on with ChatGPT. Sometimes, afterwards, I will ask ChatGPT to write a blog post or outline the ideas we were exploring. I do read over it and make my own changes but ChatGPT writes most of...but it is based on the what I talked about. Everything included is ONLY what we talked about. So I'm curious where you think that would fall on your "brain rot" scale.

plenty of other ways to learn and gather information with AI then learning through writing an Essay without it. I'd argue AI is making us more intelligent rather than giving us "good grade" brainrot.

You also have to check things that AI tells you. And you have to rewrite most things. I think some aren't doing that though.
