@thegourmandgirlie: Nette Pear Jam - This one has afruity candy opening which I really enjoyed but then unfortunately I got a lot of the musky ambrette. Usually I enjoy a cozy ambrette bite but in this fragrance it comes off kind of stale and “off”. All in all, I wish this stayed brighter. I’ve seen reviews that say it dries down to musty old dish clothes and I have to agree, unfortunately. The bottle is gorgeous though!!! Roan Current Culture - Loved the bright, zingy opening with the ginger. It had just enough matcha peeking through but not overwhelming like Matcha can be for me; this is not beachy to me but more coastal, think walking barefoot on the coast right after sunrise Theodoros Kalotinis Almond Tart Man, this may be the first from this brand that I do not like. It has a similar vibe to Nota Vanilla in the opening and that is not a good thing… synthetic nutty chocolate but mixed in with Jergens lotion. This is not a love for me AT ALL. Chanceux Peach Paradise I get mostly sandalwood and florals on this with a hint of the fruits in the very opening. I wish the peach stuck around for longer. This would be really pretty to layer with a vanilla perfume, I suspect but definitely not one of my favorites from this house. Sirene This is nice and grown womanly! Everyone always says it’s smooth and well blended and damn are they right, this smells like money - like the pampered daughter of some old money family who wears (faux but only bc real is gauche!) fur stoles. The oud comes through pretty quickly, but again, high quality. It is marketed to women I think but the drydown gives very much unisex. Jasmine Rice: the opening makes my stomach turn! I feel bad bc so many people love this but it’s a little too photorealistic for me. It reminds me of the smell of rice water. I don’t get much tea, but I wish I did. It has white floral notes which I don’t (think?)
