Never let anyone plug something into your car when selling. Also don’t let them look under the bonnet unless you’re watching them. It’s common to disconnect something to get a warning light

The thing is every cars modules might have recorded past faults. These scanner possibly dont say that its current or past. Road test warm it up and See if anything shows up on dash or as current fault
