shoot you need that speed so it warms up the glass to get the rain off. otherwise it just smears and streaks it all over with the oil spewed from the exhaust

Wipers on a locomotive are purely decoration. the pneumatic system is funky l, they use $1 blades and they haven't been changed, ever. If it even touches the glass it just smears shit everywhere.
