An old fan belt in a wrench looped through the box into the wrench, put it around the filter off like magic

I was in the same spot….went and bought a ratchet strap and it broke the seal. Also broke the strap!

and you have it easier with the car lift up imagine trying to get it out on the floor jack, what about using a screwdriver across and pry it down
