Yes, they knew. I'm the house that the kids are always welcome at. My kids know who needs a safe space and they always share that with me.

I was a neglected kid, now I have 2 teens: yes darling, they knew. I make sure my house is a safe place for my kids’ friends (warm meals/unlimited snacks & a private room to stay in and no judgement)

My friend’s mom was like that. She had sofas and food in her basement, and everyone was always welcome to come stay. I never understood until years later that she was a lifeline in our community

They knew. Im so grateful for my bsf mom. She knew i didn’t have the best mom so when I turned 18 she bought me a bed and let me stay w them 4 a while but as a kid I had a key & knew the alarm code.❤️

this was my family! i had a friend stay through 2020 lockdown, we were both 14/15 and opposite genders too. my parents were very aware of the issues in his house, which is why we offered.
