Yeah, an agent is pretty much someone who takes 10% unless they were someone at ICM, which is now dead and now the only ones who really are worth a damn our managers

He doesn’t have an agent but he does have a manager; as an indie auteur, I imagine Baker’s needs are met between his Mgr and his lawyer. Why give up another 10% if they’re just gonna try to plug you into a Marvel picture?

If you have some name recognition, you just need an entertainment lawyer. Tried some agents, they did very little for me. Got me bad auditions that weren’t a good fit (role was not for a wheelchair user, role was for a boy, role was out of my age range). I got more calls directly from Disney, Nickelodeon, CW, Netflix with real roles for me. I can pickup the phone and say yes I would like to audition, and save the 10%. Would have had a major Disney role but Neflix contract locked me out of it.

I feel like it all depends on your goal at this point. Thought of it the same myself but for tv & film I know I can’t just pitch myself to producers either big names I need an agent for that

You should go over to the Facebook group for crew stories. There’s currently controversy with him, Union and Crew. Not sure if it’s true or not.
