@pbsnews: More than 49% of Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump's job performance since returning to the White House, according to the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll. Forty-five percent approve of his job performance so far — a higher level of support than at any point in his first administration, according to Marist polling. That number includes 36 percent of Americans who strongly approve, another high-water mark for Trump. Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, said the president is benefiting from a political honeymoon. Trump’s 45 percent approval is a “cautionary number” that is hard to interpret as broad support for his agenda, Miringoff said.
