We are proud of our rescue and recovery work, most notably our participation in the Bay Area Cougar Action Team alliance, which allows us to rescue local mountain lions in need. With our expertise in veterinary care, the Zoo has rehabilitated many mountain lions orphaned or displaced by various threats, including car accidents and wildfires.
