I have (band kid 4yrs in HS) watched a drumline and a few brass players pick up a 4 door car to waist height and MARCH IT IN TEMPO, to another parking space so the band could practice.

Don’t forget that band kids practice outside in any weather. Rain, heat, snow, wind, you name it, there’s band practice.

My band had point system for "fatalities" (people run over cause they're in the way) in practice. The judges in performance were not exempt, nor were we penalized if we hit them. we feared no gods

I used to play flute in marching band. It may be a small instrument but it takes as much air to play as a tuba does and had to be perfectly parallel to the ground. I would throw down

I mean truthfully The stereotype of band kids being the good kids is completely false the band kids are actually what you have to worry about the most truthfully

My mum is a sports doc and her biggest tip for improving your cardio/endurance is singing while exercising. It hurts but it works.

Can confirm. I broke my l1 vertebrae during a guard competition, did a majority of my Junior yr marching season. I play flute, and I'd literally be turning my upper half 90° while playing to match (1)

I did Baritone/Euphonium in MB for almost 4 years, I can confirm that a Bard will definitely kill God to set an example and to prove a point

our band practices were worse than the football practices. our band camps were 8-10 hours and we spent half inside half outside . it was god awful and everyone was out for blood and ready for murder.
