one time I saw this martial artist fight a untrained fighter the untrained tried to throw a wide punch and seeing the opening he had the trained just threw 10 clean punches to the face and he won

On the trained, your elbow really shouldn’t turn out to the side so far, you lose a lot of power turning your arm out that much, it should still be slightly pointed down.
