nail tech here, you could pursue legal action because of how they did the removal and they made you think you had a fungus (we're not allowed to treat or diagnose any disorders)

You need to report the salon to the state. So many salons are doing short cuts & the client is the one who suffers. Dirty salons and equipment. Not properly sterilizing equipment….

This isn’t actually a nail fungus, it’s called greenie caused by moisture because your nails weren’t dehydrated or applied properly, luckily it will grow out and has no effect on your health :)

N.1 imo those are not fungal those are greenies, it’s bacteria that gets trapped under a lifted nail, it’s not contagious and will grow out naturally. N.2 Fungal is extremely contagious…

Lab scientist here! It’s actually a bacteria called pseudomonas aeruginosa. Either there was moisture on the nail when they applied the acrylic or they left some gaps and water got inside

also, fungus has a smell to it. if no smell, then it's just a greenie and will grow out/can be gently filed off.

It’s not actually fungal it’s from water or moisture being trapping under the acrylic. If you file it a bit it will come off or just wait for it to grow out.
