Our Vietnam Ratings… Hanoi: 9/10, had some of the BEST vegan food imo (and non veg according to Rod). The city just felt alive idk how to explain it. Ha Giang: 9/10, The views are absolutely JAW DROPPING. However, you have to like being on a motorbike because by our 3rd day we were seriously in sm pain lol. We went with @Bibi Ha Giang loop official and def recommend :) Cao Bang: 9.5/10, definitely “off the beaten path” if you come up here. It has spectacular views that rivals Ha Giang Loop but with way less foreign tourists. The roads are less sketchy than in Ha Giang so you can drive yourself (if you have the proper licenses). Ha Long Bay: 9/10, absolutely surreal landscape. Going Bai Tu Long Bay on a luxury cruise was a 10/10 experience, but I think I would have lower ratings if we went with a budget option. We went with Indochina Junk btw! Ninh Binh: 7/10, has some STUNNING views (like at Mua Caves + Trang An Boat Ride). I loved staying in Tam Coc, but idk after our other adventures it didn’t stand out as much. Phong Nha: 10/10! There are just SO many fun activities to do here (dark cave, duck stop, etc.). The caves are INSANE. If it’s in budget pls do a caving tour. We did one with Oxalis Adventures and would recommend. Da Nang: 4/10, good variety of restaurants and decent beach, however the vibe is more of a digital nomad location rather than explorer/backpacker location. Hoi An: 5/10, it was rainy the whole time so we didn’t get to experience everything. Tbh it just felt so touristy that it was kinda eh imo. I would give it another chance though during the dry season. Da Lat: 9/10, idk what it was about Da Lat, but I just really loved being here. I don’t think I’d recommend it to everyone? I think it could feel slightly underwhelming depending on what you like. Ho Chi Minh City: 6/10 I felt like the vegan options were way overhyped. Nothing wrong with the city - it was a nice place to chill for 3 weeks. . . . Hi! We’re Katelin and Rod! We are two kids in our 20s traveling the world on a one way ticket.
