@kaylamaemartin: Everyone always tells me “you’re brave for taking them by yourself, I don’t know how you do it” the truth is, that village they tell you about, it’s not the same for everyone. Eventually, I realized no one was coming to “save me” no matter how many times I begged & cried for help. Everyone is busy with their own lives, they can’t always be there to help. So I became the village my kids needed. It was hard at first, plenty of tears were shed. I was constantly questioning why I even tried leaving the house. Now I find it easier to do things with just my kids. I am on their time. No rushing, no tantrums, just slowing down and enjoying the moments. I don’t get disappointed anymore when I ask for help & it’s not there. The more we get out, the easier it gets.
