I live here and the canopy walkway has been closed since November 15th 2024 I was there last weekend and there are no signs of them working to reopen it.

Make sure the park is fully open before you go. Many parks in Florida are either closed or only partially open due to hurricane damage.

If visiting Myakka State Park, stay at the nearby airbnb Mossy Oak Ranch in Myakka City 2 minutes from the back entrance of the park.This is a 5 star must see tropical setting with a resort style pool

I was just there two weeks ago and it was still closed. One of the cables snapped and they said it would take awhile to fix it. That’s what the park ranger told us. So this video is very misleading.
