The customer is 100% correct. Penny pricing at DG is a real thing. What it does is shows that their employees failed to remove discontinued items from the sales floor by the deadline date.

When items get “Pennyed out” the employees are to pull the item from the sales floor to prevent things like this. Her bad for not doing it, but I stand with the employee. Customer annoying asf.
