@pbsnews: The growing measles outbreak in the U.S. Southwest claimed a second life this week. So far this year, more than 220 cases have been reported across 12 states, with the majority in Texas. PBS News' John Yang asked infectious disease epidemiologist Jessica Malaty Rivera how this measles outbreak differs from previous ones and discussed the effectiveness of the MMR vaccine — a vaccine that protects against measles, mumps and rubella. "Two months into 2025, this is our third outbreak, and it's growing to be one of the worst," said Rivera. "It is unusual for this type of scale, but because of decreasing vaccination rates and vaccine refusal in general, we are seeing emerging cases happen on occasion," she added. "It is the most contagious infectious disease we have, and the MMR vaccine is one of the most effective vaccines." Tap the link in our bio for the full conversation. #health #measles #news

So. Pretty sure I did all those vaccines as a child. But how serious should adults be considering a booster at this point?

Women that get abortions should receive the death penalty, but parents whose children die because they were unvaccinated are fine? But ts almost like it’s just about controlling women’s bodies.
