@chefmikaleon: Basic white rice aka arroz blanco 🔥 with the perfect ratio of water to rice to get that Cuban restaurant style white rice! What’s your favorite way to eat yours? 🍳 Ingredients: 1 cup of long grain white rice 1 tsp. Salt 1 ¼ cup water  2 tbsp. olive oil Instructions: Make the white rice: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear. In a medium saucepan, add the rice, water, olive oil, and salt. Stir to combine. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and let it simmer for 18 minutes. Do not lift the lid during this time to avoid releasing steam. After 18 minutes, take off the lid and fluff your rice using a fork. turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for 5 minutes. Remove the lid again and fluff the rice gently with a fork.
