If u rent a 16 passenger van, but only transport 3 people, the rental agency won't give you money back. but if you rent the same van to try transporting 20 people, they'll require you rent another van

very well explained, if you have an issue with this.....well then you are the one lying about weights and expect a drive to not care and move you freight

For many mountains routes I have a weight limit, if it's less is their problem, if it's more becomes mine and of the truck

Stephen “Chappy” Fuller :
No of course not. They made the decision to underload it even though they bought the rate at a higher weight.

Do you get a refund at a restaurant when you don't finish your food? Brokers are so funny

Is there some amount of I guess leeway? Like they book for 20k and it comes in at 20.1k? Is everything still fine? I get if they book 21 and load 30 or 40.

Offer the following rebuttal: if you payed me to delivery 20K lbs but then the load is only 1 lb would you expect me to give you a 99% discount.

more weight equals more fuel burned, more wear and tear on tires and suspension parts. makes sense

Underloading is their problem. They’re the ones not taking advantage of what they paid for. Like ordering large fries at McDonalds and only eating half. You don’t get a refund.

If yall agree on shipment, the contract can only change if it’s in the drivers favor.

What if they had a truck that could only haul 20k ? To double it and try and get away with it is just dishonest. Just tell them what weight your actually shipping

they should negotiate the load at actual weight. broker should know relevant information.

I've had it happen before and made them unload the truck. I left it on the dock and went down the street to pick up a different load.

People don't understand that the more weight the more it cost for fuel, its more stress on the truck.
