Hole saw works for a 1/2 O shape. If it’s made so the escutcheon just fits it doesn’t look bad and it’s quick and easy. Moving the water line up is ideal unless it’s overlooked until trim time.

Honestly amazing work only thing I would say is make the marks with a pencil and jigsaw all of it but honestly you do what works best for you great work looks amazing
