Everytime I see a story like this I will point out that UNARMED teachers, healthcare/social workers, etc deal with issues like this DAILY and they don’t get to KILL the person doing it. Cops kill.

Can we just take a moment,and look at the 1 FACT that was totally GLAZED OVER & IGNORED,in this story,that NOT ONLY was he disabled/Autistic,BUT A 16YO CHILD,with his parents RIGHT THERE,for officers to listen to,THE PARENTS CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE WITH A DISABLED CHILD,NOT for a crime being committed,AND THEY KILLED THAT POOR KID!! SLOWLY SUFFOCATING HIM. Make it make sense.

I worked in mental health with teens and sometimes we did have to restrain kids. We were taught to try to avoid any prime position whenever possible and if someone ended up in that position we required someone to be down on the grounds checking their breathing until they were standing again. And we did all this without access to any weapons for ourselves whatsoever
