I actually liked this scene. I am not christian. Nor do I believe in Christianity. But this scene portrayed to Odin the end of his reign and the beginning of a new one that was rising at the same time [Christianity] He saw that he was not to last. But that nothing would either. Ragnarok signaled not the end of THE world. But the end of HIS world. And the rise of another king and God who would for certain not last either. As immortality goes; It is never the end, but a rebirthing cycle. He foresaw the same cycle he was bound too. Of endless seeking. Torturous sacrificing. That is bound to lead only to the end over and over again. Same story different format sort of thing.

The Norse gods and all the ones the world has that are apparently myth I believe are fallen angels and the great flood was the example of how worship to false gods and idols and turning your back on GOD was not ever going to be tolerated in that way he gave humanity a wake up call back then and itโs been forgotten and lost in time.

Always had a theory the Pantheons of different Mythologies were just Guardians of Earth. Maybe strayed during Roman times with each of their followers being at war with each other.
