I frequently debate this. I do agree that there are many symptomatic overlaps between neurodivergence and major mental health conditions, like CPTSD, BPD, depression, and anxiety, etc. My perspective is that neurodivergence is not a result of trauma, but rather growing up neurodivergent in a neurotypical society is inherently traumatic, especially when complicated by the experience of neglect and abuse within one's own home.

truely wild how many are hearing something she said at no point here. having a diagnosis doesn't equal being autistic, or there wouldn't be so many undiagnosed/misdiagnosed people out there. you all forget that dsm diagnosis is a tool of oppression, for everyone who isn't a white cis male

If that’s the case then u likely are misdiagnosed autism and may have something more akin to bpd or something similar. Not comin at you, just offering my perspective, as misdiagnosis is very common
