I watched a woman who was about to self publish pull her book and say she was querying it with her new agent but could still sell her paperbacks (??) it SCREAMED Schmagent & a quick google confirmed😩

What are green flags for a newer agent? How does an author know a newer agent is a legit agent and not a schmagent? Outside of looking up the agency I wouldn’t know what else to look for.
