As a Waffle House cook. You didn’t dehydrate your potatoes and then sit them in water for 2 1/2 hours and strain them for 15mins minimum.

been on this journey for years and cracked the code when I discovered they start with dehydrated potatoes. Waffle House sells them, but so does Idaho Spuds. Add some onion powder, follow directions

Eh, it's not the same. Waffle House uses dried, pre-salted shredded potatoes that are soaked to rehydrate and then drained. It is something that is very impractical to replicate at home.

They are ONLY THE BEST if you incorporate “caramelized onions” in 💯 last time I ate there, the chef just dropped white onions on the grill, gave then a light char and threw them in. 😳 terrible!
