@brutamerica: Dr. Edward Ashton and his colleagues have confirmed the discovery of 128 new moons around Saturn, bringing its total to 274. This makes Saturn the planet with the most moons in our solar system, surpassing Jupiter's 95. The discovery was made possible by the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope on Mauna Kea, which benefits from the mountain’s clear skies and minimal light pollution. When NASA’s Cassini probe launched in 1997, only 18 moons were known.
