These statistics are actually wrong, the 20k black people in the boer war camps aren’t included (total would’ve been 40k including boers) and the number of mau mau detained was closer to 1.5 million

as someone who was raised in England, I was appalled at the colonies perspective of the empire. worse though is that today kids learn that the colony was a great thing and we were loved for it
