most games use multiple cores now, though that wasn't the case 15 or so years ago. that said single core scores are still important since some of the work being done isn't easy to spread out.

CPU architecture matters as well. It’s why you see a new 4.3GHz cpu out preforming last gen 4.6GHz CPU. Like ram there is so much underneath. Gamers just need to look at benchmarks tbh.

Overclock cpu now best option is AI overclocking I use AI overclock and that is for best and fast overclock for any games only with intel cpu use main overclocking but for amd only AI
