@severe_central: The 2007 Elie tornado was a small but extremely powerful and erratic tornado that occurred in Canada, during the evening hours of Friday, June 22, 2007. The powerful F5 tornado that struck the town of Elie, in the Canadian province of Manitoba (40 km (25 mi) west of Winnipeg) was known for its unusual path, how it was during its path, its rope to cone structure as opposed to a "wedge" structure, and how it is unique compared to other F5/EF5 tornadoes. It was part of a small two-day tornado outbreak that occurred in the area and reached a maximum width of 150 yards (140 m). The tornado was unusual because it caused the extreme damage during its roping out stage at a mere 35 yards (32 m) in width and moved extremely slowly and unpredictably. The tornado tracked primarily southeast, as opposed to the usual northeast, and made multiple loops and sharp turns ,Because Environment Canada adopted the Enhanced Fujita scale in 2013. there will be no more tornadoes with an F5 rating. making this tornado the first confirmed F5 tornado in Canada ,and the last F5 tornado in the world! #tornadotok #tornado #mindblowing #smallbutpowerful #canada #elie #F5

8 times. The more you see the higher the appreciation level goes up. The cleanest cone and debris distribution field I've ever seen. That IS a foundation peeler. Thanks brother. Whew.

If I can see the tornado with my own two eyes then I'm not far enough away from the tornado.

not a lot of debris shooting up. Its spinning so fast and symmetrically the centrifugal forces are pushing the debris out to the side

I will never forget this day. I was flying between Toronto to Edmonton and we had to fly by this storm. The pilot even saying how gnarly it looked on their radar, arrived to Edmonton later find we were flying by as this tornado was on the ground. The storm looked incredible from the sky.

When I think of tornados, I automatically picture this one in my brain without fail. Still remember this happening as a kid. I lived about 15 minutes drive from here at the time.
