im a bisexual and truthfully never realized how bad the epidemic was until i studied this musical bc i want to audition. im so fkn happy i studied it even if i dont end up getting mimi i am so happy to be on this journey of trying to embody such a beautifully troubled girl. not only that but also learning about characters like tom collins and MOST OF ALL ANGEL 🕊️rip young gays gone too soon. its a tragedy what happened. this musical is a time capsule of that. im so grateful to be educated on it now.

I’ve tried explaining to my friends why old gays are so important for us in younger generations. So many stories ended too soon and so seeing gray gays makes my heart heavy and warm all at once ❤️

Everyone should watch the show Fellow Travelers!! My 65 yr old uncle is gay and came out in the 80s and it finally hit me he came out in the middle of AIDS and how terryfing that must’ve been 😔
