its needs to FEEL like the character. not necessary lyrics, but the mood. if the character is canonically into something, i like to incorporate that too tho

both? there's a character playlist (the vibes) and then there is the Character's playlist, i.e. their playlist of what songs they would listen to. people keep confusing the two and makes it hard

To me it's what songs remind me of them even if it's just one lyric or the instrumental that's probably why so many people get mad about the "repetitive" songs they see on them

all, the one thing I'm strict about is if the lyrics go against the character. the lyrics can, not fit right orbe irrelevant but if it goes against what the character's about I don't add it

My go to for character playlist is three different things 1. Would they listen to this? goes in the playlist 2. Does this song *feel* like them in the general vibe and make me think about them?

for me it's a playlist of songs that either relate to the character in some way, tell their story or make me think of them. ei, my witch torchered by the church has a lot of Ethel Cain in her playlist

I just do songs that make me think of them. I seriously doubt max from camp camp would listen to a mlp fan song. doesn't mean I don't think of him when I hear it.

I think the first two are just different types. When you say character playlist I think "songs associated/ have the same vibe as character". My sister makes a lot of good playlists, and she'll make a separate one for "character's Record collection".
