I never use a debit card. I use interest free credit cards, no annual fee + cash back. I put all my utilities +groceries on my cc and pay it off. You HAVE to have discipline. You can’t run free w/ it

I use a discover card and get up to 5% cash back the first year then 1% after that, and they double your cash back you make the first year. I'm reinvesting into my high yield savings account. I only use this CC when I have the money and I have autopay on. just have to be responsible about it.

As a bank manager….Credit Cards are WAY safer then a debit card and they pay you free rewards. Just pay it off each month in full

I use my credit card all the time to do food shopping, pay for bills and subscriptions and travel to work. Then I pay it off in full (early) just before the direct debit date. Basically the credit card does build the credit up but I’m never “creating debt” cos I use my debit card to pay off the credit card that only paid for things my debit card could have always afforded to pay in the 1st place 👍🏽 try it

the problem in today's Society everything wants a credit check. buying a car, renting an apartment etc even some jobs require credit checks.

Anyone claiming credit cards aren’t a problem is usually someone who uses them wisely and pays them off in full. but those people are the exception, not the norm. Most people fall into the trap of the great FICO scam. It takes serious discipline to stay out of debt and avoid paying unnecessary interest. That’s why it’s often smarter to avoid debt altogether if you can. Things like reward points and other perks are just tactics to lure more people into using credit cards, at the end of the day, it’s all part of a business strategy designed to manipulate.

And he’s right people use credit to buy things they can’t afford out of pocket like a house. Get a credit card I’m 19 with a 700 credit score it doesn’t cost me anything be smart don’t spend over 30 percent and pay it all off every month if your smart only us 1-10 percent of your credit limit a month.

NEVER use a debit card! One CC to pay everything and then pay it off! If your CC gets hacked you can fight it. Using your debit card and it gets hacked? There goes your bank/savings acct!!

I only have 1 credit card to buy things I can already afford and we pay it off immediately after the purchase. We also only buy vehicles outright. Haven’t had a car payment in at least 15 years.
