@haydendeterra: 🦋 Read my webtoon “Auras” on @webtooncanvas ✨ 1️⃣ Scripting: First of all, I write the script of my episode before working on it. I have the story already written as a synopsis but I like to work on the script not too far from the moment I actually work on the episode. 2️⃣ Storyboard and 3D layout: as a former 3d animator, I like to mix storyboard and 3D layout, it’s a easier for me to get a proper vision of where I want to go with my panels. I roughly add the bubbles too. I’m also adding the 3D background at this step, so I can go back later on it and export everything for render. 3️⃣ Sketching: I sketch roughly every panel to have a correct base to work on for the inking part. 4️⃣ Lineart: The most tedious part where I'm inking every drawing. It’s the most time consuming part for me because I try to be happy with my drawings. 5️⃣ Lighting intentions: on the backgrounds, I add the lighting and colors intentions I want for each panel. I also indicate where the light comes from for the next steps. 6️⃣ Flats: I have the chance to have a wonderful assistant to help me for this part and the next one. So I send the files to the best girl, @Buttea who adds all the flat colors on the panels. 7️⃣ Shading: Then with the lighting intentions I gave her, she makes the basic shading & lighting of the characters. She's doing an amazing job 🥹 8️⃣ Rendering : I upload all the pages in CSP and I’m starting to render every panel. I add a few light effects, details on the characters such as blush, lips color, eyes, highlights and details like jewelry, etc. I also render the backgrounds with proper exports. It’s also in this step I work more on some panels transitions if I feel some page are too blank. 9️⃣ Lettering : I'm now working on the text part, dialogues and SFX based on my script. I improvise sometimes too if I feel the need of more dialogs or text. 🔟 Corrections & exports : I read everything twice or more, send the episodes to my friends so I can have feedbacks then when everything’s correct, I export the files with the CSP webtoon export option! And ta-da! The episode is ready to be published ✨ #webtoon #webtoontips
