Except the article and reporting says they offered us a 5% pay bump, which is inaccurate. They offered us a 3.5% ONE TIME off schedule payment and a 1.5% ongoing raise. One time money is taxed like a bonus, doesn’t help our retirement, and doesn’t carry over. Misleading reporting!

Yep! Bay Area teacher as well! we get 32-36 and then they are trying to cut down on money spent by making teachers do 4/5 split(teaching both in one class).
