Anything that’s not NeuroTypical (NT) is considered NeuroDivergent (ND). So yes, that means anywhere from Autism & ADHD, to OCD, to psychotic & mood disorders, BPD, NPD, ASPD, Cptsd, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, sensory processing disorder, epilepsy, learning disabilities, etc, etc ARE neurodivergent. Although, many of us have a “buy one get 3 free” situation, it’s easier to just explain it has “ND” instead of listing everything.

people fail to see that neurodivergent literally just means your brain is different and has been since birth or severe injury, most of these are neurodivergent but are also in other categories that’s why ppl get confused

A lot to comment on here…OCD is not a neurodevelopmental disorder. It is however a common comorbidity in people with ASD. There’s quite a big distinction and would be best not to spread misinformation

OMG I JUST GOT CONFIRMED BY A PSYCHIATRIST THAT IM AUTISTIC AND I GOT SOME PERMISSIONS TO SCHOOL LIKE NOW I CAN USE HEADPHONES ON LESSONS LEGALLY (I DON'T LISTEN TO MUSIC ON IT, I JUST TUNE DOWN THE NOISE FROM THE BACKGROUND BC ITS MAKING MY HEAD HURT AND ITS DISTRACTING), IM SO HAPPY IVE BEEN SELF DIAGNOSING MYSELF FOR A WHOLE YEAR AND PSYCHIATRIST CONFIRMED MY DIAGNOSIS IS TRUE!! I'M CURRENTLY AWAITING FOR THE WHOLE DIAGNOSIS AT THE PLACE WHERE AUTISM IS DIAGNOSED BY MANY PEOPLE NOT JUST PSYCHIATRIST BUT I CAN ALREADY SAY IM AUTISTIC BC MY PSYCHIATRIST WHO DIAGNOSES AUTISM DIAGNOSED ME AND SAID IT ON PAPER (ITS STILL NOT A FULL WHOLE DIAGNOSIS BUT IT'S A START AND ALSO PROFESSIONAL ONE AND SHE SAYS I'M FOR SURE AUTISTIC AND I JUST NEED TO WAIT AND GO THROUGH WHOLE DIAGNOSIS PROCESS TO REALLY REALLY CONFIRM IT BUE SHE'S SURE THEY'LL CONFIRM IT!! i dont know if its the same in other countries, but in Spain we call 'being gifted' a neurodivergency too (we call it 'Altas Capacidades', which would roughly translate to 'high capacities'), and it is been proven that our brain also works different from the neurotypical brain, sharing many similar traits with Autism and ADHD
