@nourishhq: Wildflower honey harvest from our log hive 🍯🐝 This hive is a conservation hive - we let the wild bees live here without any intervention and we never intend to take a honey harvest from them. However this colony of bees very sadly didn’t make it through the winter ☹️ The death of the colony is the only time we harvest from this kind of hive. They left us quite a hoard! After double filtration we ended up with 5kgs of liquid gold! Thank you bees 🙏🥹 What are your favourite ways to use honey? Now add applejuice to that and put a water lock and let it ferment to some behind whooping apple mead 👌 estimated % would be 20%+ with the right yeast. 👌 Otherwise 14-16% with wild yeast if you're lucky with no need to backsweeten 👌
