I build small districts within the village, so they can come out and hang out with other villagers but each district is gated so they don’t get lost or die

I give them each their own space. House, bed, social space, etc. but it’s just a really cozy prison. There’s no way outside and in order to enter the social area, I have to unlock it.

You could put carpet behind the doors and villagers won't be able to path find out bc of their hitboxes. I started doing that instead of iron doors everywhere
