@samrculley: 3 Day Lake District Road Trip itinerary 🚗🏞️🥾 This route starts and finishes in Kendal… Night one, we stopped at Eskdale NT campsite, there are others there too! You can make this journey you’re own but here’s some ideas! Day 1 activities: -Stanley Ghyll waterfall -Hike along the river Esk to find more waterfalls -Drive over Hardknott and Wrynose pass (confident drivers with smallish vehicles) -visit cathedral cave and slater bridge -drive through Langdales, Ambleside, Grasmere, -hike up Raven crag for sunset -stop near Keswick (we stayed at Castlerigg farm campsite) Day 2 activities: -visit Keswick -drive over newlands pass (waterfall at top) -drive down into Buttermere -hike up to Wharnscale bothy (lots of hikes here) -Buttermere infinity pool -crummock water -camped at Sykes farm campsite Day 3 activities- -drive over honister pass -honister slate mine (via ferrata was insane) -drive alongside Derwent water -stop at the bowderstone -Lake District wildlife park -drive along side ullswater -stop at aira force waterfall -drive over kirkstone pass -visit Windermere Finish Road trip back in Kendal! Absolutely incredible trip, remember to look after these places, plan things in advance and leave no trace anywhere!
