@habeeb_akande1: When Islamic Scholarship is Anti-Black... Centering Black Narrative author, Ahmad Mubarak, speaks to romance writer Layla Abdullah-Poulos about the anti-blackness he discovered in classical fiqh (Islamic law) books whilst studying in Egypt where Maliki jurists considered black women as least desirable for marriage. Some scholars also narrated fabricated hadiths (prophetic sayings) which demean blacks. However, prominent scholars such as Ibn al-Jawzi and Ibn Qayyim refuted these antiblack hadiths and stated that they were forged. Despite this, anti-black sentiment is still rampant in classical Muslim literature and Muslim communities. It's a topic many non-black Muslims deny rather than address it like the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did during his blessed lifetime. The Qur’an also states that human beings' skin colours are a sign of the Creator. Fortunately, a number of Muslim scholars of the past spoke out against anti-blackness in medieval Muslim communities and wrote books to defend blacks as well as highlight their virtues, beauties, and contributions to Islam and human civilisations. There are also a growing number of Muslim scholars, writers, and activists addressing this taboo topic in contemporary Muslim communities. Alhamdulillah. Credit: @laylawriteslove

Soldier of Allah :
This is DEFINITELY not correct, maybe the “fiqh” books he read were by people who strayed from the path of the salaf. We have to be careful of what we. This video can easily be misinterpreted

Soldier of Allah :
Do not spread misinformation, because this could misguide young Muslims who haven’t done their research and blindly believe a TikTok about fiqh being racist.

Part of the reason why black people shouldn’t practice other peoples religions. How can religious books have nonsense like that in them.
