@ceoofgolf: If I were to start over as a beginner golfer, here are 3 drills I would do every single day to become a scratch golfer First up, take a towel. And tuck it under both arms and make half swings—this will keep your arms and body connected, promote better control and rotation through the ball Next up take a ball and stick it in between your forearms and hit some shots. This creates a more unified, efficient swing that will help you stay on plane which will lead you to hit more solid golf shots. And finally, after you graduate those two drills we are going to take a glove and place it just underneath our right bicep. Don’t cheat and put it all the way up under your armpit, makes this drill too easy. This will encourage your body to rotate in the backswing rather than lifting your arms and getting separated. And because you are staying more connected, you’re less likely to throw the club over the top. It will help you groove an inside path and shallow your downswing.
