oh no, the US will melt down over this. the difference to 2008/1987 is now the debt level of the US which was 120% a few weeks ago. forecast is -4% GDP for Q1, so that lifts it to 125% already. After this idiotic move I would not be surprised if US GDP will go down to 130% or more in just a few months. add a collapse of tax revenue after this, will mean more deficit, so it's easy to imagine that in 26/27 the USD spirals to death

Problem is that in 2007 bear market lasted almost 2 years , most of average people can’t survive that long , they end up selling their stocks at loss to save homes or pay the bills because they lost the job.
