the therapist needs to be reported to the court and medical board. She asked for honesty, OP gave it but was basically shamed for it. If she's done this to the OP, she's most likely done it to others

The step mom was clearly trying so she's not wrong in this situation. The wrong one in here is the dad that pushed his responsibilities to the grandparents and came back to do the same with the wife
