Solidarity is a part of a democracy, and they take that away. I grew up in a small village, where there was this sense of community. I have to admit, many were relatives, but also just neighbors.

My husband and I marched in Boston. We met so many wonderful people. Pastor Miaram Hammond had us all turn to the people next to us and introduce ourselves and why we were there. It was so moving.
