@ritual: Have you ever picked up a product that said: “backed by clinical evidence?” Well, not to get too scientific, but that might be baloney. The supplement & wellness industry at large sometimes lacks legitimate substantiation (aka, proof) that supplements will do what they say they will. This is because terms like "clinically studied" can be misused or exaggerated, and there are no formal definitions for the term. *record scratch* “But doesn’t Ritual use the term clinically-studied?” you might wonder. Yes, but at Ritual we: 👩⚕️Carefully delineate between the ingredients or the finished formula being clinically studied. 👩⚕️Have completed four clinical trials for our Essential for Women 18+ Multi, HyaCera™, and Sleep, and have a number of clinical trials currently ongoing. 👩⚕️Set goals: By 2030 we plan to have completed product-specific clinical trials for all existing products. We do a ton of work to call our products (or ingredients) clinically-studied and we’re not thrilled about other companies throwing that term around. That’s why we’re asking Congress to provide the FDA with resources to establish, or expand upon the FTC’s existing guidelines, a deeper and clear definition for “clinically studied” claims. Curious?
