HEALTHY BANANA BREAD BARS 😍🍌🍫 We had an early morning flight last week on our way to Florida and I wanted to bring a healthy snack with us to eat on the plane. Usually on road trips we pack overnight oats for breakfast, but I googled it and it said you couldn’t take overnight oats through TSA. Sooo I used similar ingredients to make these high protein banana bread bars and they were DELICIOUS!! Made with healthy ingredients and sweetened with honey and bananas, these are the PERFECT healthy breakfast (or snack/dessert/anytime treat) that you will love! I used @promix vanilla whey protein for this recipe - it’s my favorite protein powder because it’s made with clean ingredients! You can use the discount code ✨CLAIRE✨ for 15% off Promix! Makes 12 bars: ~191 calories, 10g protein, 5g fat, 29g carbs each Ingredients: - 2 cups oats (use gf if needed) - 3 servings vanilla protein powder (I use @promix vanilla whey protein - use code ‘CLAIRE’ for 15% off!) - 1 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp salt - 1 tsp cinnamon - 3 very ripe bananas - 2 eggs - 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup) - 1/3 cup almond milk (sub for any milk) - 2 tsp vanilla extract - 1/2 cup chocolate chips (I use enjoy life mini choc chips) - Optional: natural peanut butter for swirling on top! How to: - Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8x8 dish with parchment paper. - Add the oats to your blender and blend into oat flour. - Add the oat flour, vanilla protein powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon to a large bowl and stir to combine. - In a second bowl add ripe bananas and mash well. Add eggs, honey, milk and vanilla extract then whisk until well combined. - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir to combine, then fold in chocolate chips. - Spread batter into the baking dish (swirl peanut butter on top if you want) and bake for 25-30 mins until a toothpick comes out clean (25 mins was perfect for me) - Let cool then slice into 12 bars and enjoy! #healthyrecipe #EasyRecipe #bananabread #bananabreadbars #highprotein #cleaneating #healthyeating #mealprep #mealprepbreakfast #healthydessert #glutenfreedessert #travelbreakfast
