I'm sorry, I don't think they're formal enough to wear to an event or anything. If you're going on holiday they're fine, but I've always felt that if people wear nice dresses or suits, trainers just ruin them. The trainers always stick out, clash with the rest of the formal outfit, and are a bit of an eyesore. This said, I think if you're just sightseeing/walking, these are really nice, but I personally wouldn't wear them to an event or business meeting. Hope this helps!
