@scoobstattoo: When a client is booked in, I always create and stencil the design the night before. This can take between 2-3 hours every night after a full day of tattooing. I've got my own routine, which I've learnt over my 11 years tattooing, what works for me, what doesn't.. Knowing the design needs to be complete for the next day and also needing to be prepared or i cant work, My brain works so much better close to a deadline and also the fact I don't have any other time in my existence to fit it in elsewhere 🤣 It's got to the point, if I have a night where I don't need to design I actually feel lost, which is crazy to think because I used to be FERAL... WILD CHILD with no care for anything. No structure, no routine, just winging it. When people are paying money and trusting you to put something on them for life, you need to care, put the time and effort in, or you'll fail both you and the client. If only I could tell younger me that when I started tattooing.
