My daughter’s school won’t let them hang out before class. If they’re in the building they have to be in a room or transitioning to a room.

Covid regulations locked them out of the school. This generation of kids do not know how to hang out in the halls. This year’s Seniors have been in Covid restriction schools since 6th grade 💯

Our school doesnt allow backpacks. But kids still dont use lockers. Its because they dont like all the rules and hassle from teachers. No lingering in halls.

During highschool before covid I NEVER used my locker because i would be late to class if I actually took the time to grab my stuff.

When I was in HS we had to pay to rent lockers to use so nobody did, we also had only 3-5 mins for class change so there wasn’t time to stop at lockers or socialize at all. We weren’t allowed to sit

when i was a kid, the bags were considered a “fire hazard” so they were to be kept in the locker at all times. forced us to grab at least what we needed for class. its certainly different

im pre-laptops but even then lockers were phased out and it came top down. they haaaaated us actually using the lockers and backpacks it was like a heavily frowned upon to actually use a backpack in HS and i weird for using my locker.

The thrill is gone! Kids are tracked and videoed every breath they take by everyone around them. They have drawn inward and only let true selves be seen in video games and online.
