Vet tech here. My first guess would be teeth/mouth issues. Those are all pretty common signs. try to stay off google because it will just make you panic! But definitely get him to the vet.

Tooth problems! My cat was doing the exact same thing and I took a video to show the vet. They ended up extracting 5 of her teeth - she’s doing great now!

My cat was diagnosed with a autoimmune disease that caused him to have terrible breath. The disease thinks the teeth are bad. I will look back at the name if you are interested.

My girl had gingivitis from the time we found her as a kitten (about 6-7 months old), so her gums always looked a little inflamed and her breath was terrible.

Everyone is saying teeth problems but it can also be kidney issues. Kidney problems can cause the mouth to be uncomfortable with no direct signs in the mouth. This is exactly what happened with my -

My cat had the same - it’s usually a gum / tooth issue. He may need sedation to review. Sitting like that and face movement shows he has pain.

Vet tech here. Dental issues can hide under the gumline, a quick glance as a cat hisses is not enough to say the teeth look fine. 1/2

because of the trembling of his jaw I think teeth issues rather than kidney, sometimes when you open their mouth it looks fine but when they do teeth/jaw xrays there are issues

It’s his teeth! Give him dental shoes or feed him hard food or take him to the vet and have them clean his teeth. My cat who is now 20 years old had the exact same thing.

1. take a deep breath. You noticed. you got him help. He's showing classic signs of pain and nausea, but beyond that, you need the tests and vet advice to tell you what it is. If anything changes and

My orange cat had an Abcess that burst and this happened. A week of antibiotics helped a lot. I use a couple different all natural things for my cats teeth.

Hey, excessive licking can be a sign of nausea or mouth pain. That + bad breath, he needs a full dental exam w X-rays.

Could be his teeth. But could be a stomach issue like acid reflux or yes something with his stomach or kidneys. My dog did that a bit when he had IBD. I understand your worry.

Two of our cats did this (brothers) and we took them to vet who referred us to pet dental specialist. After exams, one was scheduled to have all his teeth removed and the other just all of the teeth between the canines. These have a genetic problem where their immune system is triggered by the plaque on their teeth and their gums and palates were SO inflamed red that they were drooling and not eating. Horrible breath. Since dental care done they are back to normal. We love our gummy boys! Please take Titus in—this condition is so very painful.
